Remember that blog I used to update all the time? Well, this update will make up for the last three months of silence!

The day before we moved the missionaries came over and helped us load the moving truck then we had pizza for lunch. Dominoes even makes a gluten free pizza. Happy Day!
We took the gate down at the top of the stairs while we were loading up so we wouldn't have to keep opening it. Alex is good on the stairs so we weren't too worried but Andrew was pretty concerned about Alex's safety so he made a gate out of packing tape to "save his life".

campout in the living room the night before we moved. andrew thought it was a total party. we had leftover pizza and watched cloud with a chance of meatballs 2 on the laptop. he insisted on not packing the lantern yet.

getting our money's worth for the closing costs at the title company. fruit snacks, pretzels and cookies galore! we tried to be classy and teach him some manners but we were all so exhausted that we didn't even care.

it was such a windy windy day. robert was a trooper and got the truck, all of our stuff, and the geo there safely.

backseat paparazzi. the boys and i stopped in pueblo at chipotle for lunch and a potty break. robert kept on truckin at 55 mph.
we caught back up to him near walsenburg then stopped again with the boys in ft. garland and again in alamosa to get pizza for the unloading crew. robert drove straight through and beat us to la jara by a few minutes. andrew was so excited and kept asking if we were to our new house yet.

andrew and alex were such good sports with the packing and moving and changing.
that play ground gives me major anxiety. it looks like a broken bone waiting to happen.
Pictures from our last month in Denver:
our friends in the ward (robert works with the husband) invited us our to dinner with them. brian served his mission in korea and they love korean food. we can totally understand why now. we went with them to a korean bbq restaurant and it was the BEST food. soooo good!
the meat came out raw (it had been marinated and had sauce on it) and you cooked it yourself on the grill in the middle of the table. we ordered several side dishes and then they also brought out a million little dishes of things all around the grill. kimchi (like spicy sauerkraut) is really good. i don't think we tried a single thing there we didn't like. and we tried a lot of crazy stuff!
last week of being a corporate man.
These monkeys played for FOUR hours before Alex zonked and I had to drag Andrew to the car so we could go eat dinner. They both slept well that night!

Aex zonked, but andrew had to be dragged out of the play place so that we could meet up with dad and eat dinner. i think it was 8pm when we were finally able to go back home. LOOONG DAY
the next day was saturday and we had to be out of the house all day again for showings. we went swimming, had lunch at cafe rio, wandered around cabelas, and went to costco to kill the day.

robert and the boys were watching the olympic opening ceremonies so I went to the temple one last time before we moved.

for our last saturday in the big city we went to boulder to hike the flat irons and go to trader joes. my idea and robert was nice enough to humor me :)

andrew took some pictures of his "fossils" we would grab rocks and ask him what kind of fossils they were and he would look at us like we were dumb and say they were just rocks. he also recited to us everything the guy at the museum told him last week while we were there about fossils. andrew had rocks that looked like teeth, bones, etc and told us all about them.

andrew came with me to get the oil changed in the corolla. while were were waiting we walked across the street to mcdonalds and he ordered by himself and bought an ice cream cone with his own money. he was so proud of himself.
