Uploading the pictures from Robert's phone was just about as exciting as when I was little and would check the mail and find the package of pictures that had been developed!

1220/12 Making Alexander's bear for Christmas at Build-a-Bear. Andrew was pretty proud to have picked out TWO hearts to put into brother's bear.
12/15/12 At Sport's Authority Field for Robert's company Christmas party. Left Alex with a babysitter for the first time and boy was he happy to see me when we got home! Andrew was pretty indifferent about us leaving and was in his pjs and asleep when we got home.
It was a really fun party! We got to tour the stadium and eat lots of good food.
12/21/12 Robert stayed up until about 3am the night before leaving to go to Idaho for Christmas to finish Andrew's car quilt. Sad to say the parts he sewed looked MUCH better than what I had done! I guess he has a better eye for detail?
12/22/12 Finding things to entertain himself with while driving 12+ hours to Idaho.
Both boys did really well until the last leg from about Twin Falls to Gooding. There was quite a bit of screaming! In this picture Andrew is watch "Brown Brown" (Charlie Brown Christmas) on Robert's laptop. Alex is happy because I moved to the backseat and he could see me.

12/29/12 Instead of driving straight through to Robert's parent's house, we stayed the night in Grand Junction. We specifically chose a hotel with a pool but realized that I'd forgotten Andrew's swim trunks. We went out to Chipotle for dinner then stopped at Walmart to find a pair; not an easy thing to find during wintertime. I finally found a pair that said 2T on the hanger but when I put them on I realized they said 4T on the tag. No safety pin so I tightened them with bobby pins. Impressive huh!

1/2/13 We had some pretty good excitement when we got back to our house. We couldn't find the keys ANYWHERE! We dug through the stuff in the car. Nothing. Pulled ALL of the stuff (from two weeks of being gone, plus christmas presents, there was a lot of stuff packed in there) out of the car and still no keyes. And of course didn't have a spare set hidden anywhere. Robert spent a good 45 drilling out the doorknob AND deadbolt while I waited in the car with the boys. All the while our fire alarm is going off inside! I was freaking out thinking that everything important inside (read pictures and scrapbooks) was inside burning up. Robert told me I was being ridiculous and that there wasn't any smoke. At one point I got out of the RUNNING car (luckily with Alex) to check on Robert's progress. While talking to Robert, Andrew LOCKED the car doors. It was running AND both our phones were inside. I was BIG TIME FREAKING out!!! I knocked on two different neighbor's doors to use their phone to call 911 because my two year old was locked inside our running car. NO ONE WAS HOME! I was a mess!! Luckily Robert found a bag of marshmallows in the pile of stuff that we had pulled out of the car and lured Andrew out of the car with it. Phew. Then we got the door to the house open and I was convinced that it was the carbon monoxide detector that was going off and that we would all die if we went inside. I called the fire department.
They show up with their HUGE fire truck, laugh at all of our stuff strewn about the garage and at our unfortunate predicament.
They tromp through our house with their boots, full fire gear, and axes. (And YES, I took pictures.) One of them asks when the last time was we changed the batteries in our smoke detectors. Doh. I felt pretty stupid.
1/3/13 Touring the US Mint in Denver. For a tour that we had to book two months in advance, it wasn't all that impressive. It was interesting though.
1/12/13 Playing basketball at the church on a Saturday night after making copies of the Sunday program. I DOMINATE at around the world!

1/19/13 Well, why not post another embarrassing story about myself... We played tennis on a nice Saturday at the park by our hose. I was getting cocky playing against Robert and went to the net to slam the next one down his throat. But instead I completely missed and the ball slammed ME in the throat. I was pretty sure my trachea had collapsed and wondered how much longer I had to live. No joke. Luckily the only permanent damage was to my pride :)
Andrew had fun hitting a ball around the court too. It was pretty cute.

2/11/13 Andrew has a hard time staying in his bed all night. I woke up in the middle of the night and this is where I found him. Sometimes he's on the floor or outside our door. Poor kid

2/22/13 Friday Night Date. Andrew was so cute that night. We all went out to dinner and then for ice cream. He was so pumped to go on a "date" with mom and dad. All night he kept grinning and saying "date fun!"
We went to a hipster, health food restaurant and were about ten years too old and had two kids too many to fit in. The food was good though.
When we pulled up to coldstone he did a fist pump and shouted, "Wooo! Ky-sume!" (ice cream). We about died. He was so excited. we stood at the counter and told him he could pick any kind of ice cream and one thing to mix in. He was jumping for joy and giggling when he got his blue ice cream with marshmallows.

A piano! The neighbors around the corner had it out in front of their house with a free sign on it. Who can pass up free? Robert borrowed a dolly and brought it home!
Andrew singing at the top of his lungs while playing. I stayed home from church that day with a sick baby. Can you tell I hand't slept for a couple of nights in a row?
UPDATE: Robert opened it up the other day to tune it and found evidence of a little friend's previous residence (poop and lots of shredded paper). YUCK! He cleaned it out and I instantly posted it on craigslist. I wanted it out of my house NOW! Someone came and got it the next day and luckily Andrew was sleeping because it could have been ugly. When he woke up he asked me where the piano went and I played dumb. Then he was really concerned and kept asking asking, "Where piano go, mommy?" It about broke my heart! He loved that thing, mouse infestation and all! I told him somebody else needed it and maybe we could get a new one someday. But man, if I find a mouse in my new house....
3/8/13 Roo found a McQueen umbrella at Walmart. It took some trickery to get out of the store without it (and without a fight).
