Twin Falls Temple

We went to the temple with Samo on Friday, May 31.  The Twin Falls temple is beautiful!

I'm so glad we were able to be in Idaho for Sam's big day!  

It must be hard to be that good looking :)

Bed Time

Embarrassingly, it has taken me a good 2 1/2 years to finally establish a consistent bed time routine for Andrew.  Excuses, excuses, but it was just so hard to either not have Robert home or not know when he would be home in the evenings.  For my sanity's sake, during buys season I finally just decided on a time and a routine and made it happen.  Now Andrew has it down and daddy gets to join us!  At 8:30 we "get the house ready for bed" by tidying up toys and turning off the lights in the kitchen and living room.  Then we go into the front room, fight over who gets to sit in grandma's rocking chair (whoever has the baby wins that one now!) sing primary songs, read scriptures and say a family prayer.  Next we go upstairs, put on pajamas, brush teeth, read a story or two (lately it's been chicka chicka boom boom and good night moon), say prayers with Andrew, then lights off and in bed.  I don't know why it took so long to finally do this but evenings are so much more enjoyable now!  Here are a few pictures of the boys before bed.

Mother's Day (plus a few other pictures)

I had a really awesome Mother's Day/Weekend!  Friday night we ate pizza, went to the park, watched a movie, and had a slumber party in the living room.  On Saturday morning we biked to the church (yes, ALL the way around the corner) and helped with the deep cleaning.  Andrew was good helper and did lots of scrubbing in the chapel.  Then we put the kiddos back in the bike trailer and went for a ride.  After eating breakfast back at the house we did yard work.  It was such a beautiful day outside!  Alex sat in the shade on the grass and played while Andrew wandered around playing and pulling weeds.  We visited with the neighbors then the Elder's rode by on their bikes and stopped and helped Robert for a little while.  We went to Costco for a few things and I picked out some Mother's Day flowers to plant in the yard.  I wanted to plant them under our crab apple tree, but it was so full of roots that I had to opt for the planter box in the backyard.  Andrew helped me for a little while then ran inside once it started raining.  That evening we went to a hippy/health food restaurant for dinner.  Robert and the boys gave me a card and I must be turning into a sentimental sap because their cute little hand prints in it made me tear up :)  On Sunday Robert fixed breakfast and I got to take a bath (which seems to only happen on special occasions these days, haha).  At church the men took care of everything during the third hour so the women could all go to Relief Society.  After church we grilled some steaks, had a picnic, in the backyard, and went for a walk.  Andrew was really cute and told me "Happy Mother's Day!" about a hundred times that day.  Oh, and I made myself some awesomely delicious lemon bars.  They were so good!

I love my two cute boys!  (Andrew had just picked his nose and was trying to figure out what to do with the booger.  Cute, huh?)  I was remembering Mother's Day last year, going for a walk and being four months pregnant with Alex.  It's crazy to think of how much our lives have changed in just a year!

Two Saturdays ago after going to the train museum, we had a picnic at the temple.  This is inside the visitor's center.

Andrew likes to refer to himself and Alex as the "two cute boys" and calls Alex "Alexander Cute Baby Reed."

Colorado Railroad Museum

On Saturday we went to the Colorado Railroad Museum in Golden.  It was a blast and a two-year-old boy's paradise!  We went for a train ride and wandered around looking at and climbing in trains.

He spotted a picture of Thomas and was so excited!

We had a fun day with this lively little ball of energy!  (Who now grabs his hat whenever he leaves the house so he can be like Warren :)
