Yes, I said "resort" and yes, it was awesome! Andrew, Alex, and I had so much fun chilling while Robert was at his training meetings. We spent lots of time at the pool, wandering around on the trails, and enjoying the beautiful view of the ocean. We didn't see much of Robert that week, but he did come back to the room every once in a while between sessions or during a break.

Alex wasn't enjoying the sibling bonding time as much as Andrew.
Andrew loved pushing the stroller where ever we went. Everything at the resort was close enough that it wasn't worth the effort to buckle the boys into the carseats and drive there, but just far enough apart that we were good and tired after the day was over (especially because I always ended up carrying one kid and pushing the stroller for the last little ways back to our room). It was good conditioning exercise for Disneyland though. Seriously.

Our room was the door on the left. The building was two stories and had about 12 different rooms. We sat in this little porch area one evening with blankets and the fire place on and read some new books from grandma's house. The boys thought they had died and gone to heaven.

matchy-matchy and un-intentional. It was the end of the week and we needed to check into the next hotel to do laundry.

Our first night there we ate at the restaurant behind me. It was pretty awesome to sit outside with a view of the ocean while the sun went down. And to make it even better, they lettuce-wrapped my fish taco for me instead of serving it in a tortilla. On our last night there (the rest of the time Robert ate all his meals as part of his conference and I stocked the hotel room fridge with food for me and Andrew...except for the one time we ordered room service and after that Andrew thought that anyone who knocked on our door was bringing quesadillas and french fries for him) we went to an Asian restaurant that overlooked the pool. Alex was cranky and going nuts so we ended up just boxing up our food and going back to our room but oh boy was that food good!! Robert convinced me to try sushi for the first time and it was really really good. I need to work on my adjectives, but you get the idea :)

A stalker picture that I took from our balcony of one of Robert's events. It was fun to see all the "behind the scenes" set up and take down of these events while we were out and about during the day. It was amazing to see how much work went into setting each of these things up.

Such a fun, relaxing week. I was glad that there was a Trader Joe's grocery store near by so that I was able to stock up on foods that I could eat and didn't have to be cooked. I got lots of yogurt, hard boiled eggs, chicken salad, cheese, lunch meat, veggies, white bean hummus, kefir, orange juice, and salad for me and Andrew to eat. Andrew also loved that I bought a bunch of muffins, goldfish crackers, and graham crackers for him and Alex. He thought it was fun to grab whatever he wanted out of the mini fridge whenever he wanted. I was nervous about how my stomach would be feeling during this leg of the trip but hurray for Trader Joe's, now I know what all the hype is about the store coming to Denver!
